It’s the end of the week as we know it.

January 30th, 2009

It’s been one of those weeks. Seriously. You know the kind of week where everyone is sick… and teething… and irritable… and not napping… and you get phone calls at really, really late hours of the night (so you answer thinking something is wrong! but everything’s okay – ‘just wanted to talk’)… and everyone’s getting [...]

It’s been one of those weeks. Seriously. You know the kind of week where everyone is sick… and teething… and irritable… and not napping… and you get phone calls at really, really late hours of the night (so you answer thinking something is wrong! but everything’s okay – ‘just wanted to talk’)… and everyone’s getting itchy again because it’s thirty below zero… again… yep, one of those weeks. I don’t even want to look at my to do list. (Okay, truth be told, I tried to look at it but can’t remember where I put it. *sigh* Really, the sooner this week ends, the better.) So to try and offset all of this, I had to go do something for me. A new streamlined site right here (for those of you in readers, click and check it out – you can now get to everything from the blog – love that). And a fun twist on an image, trying something new … just for me.

Spring is in the air! | Fairbanks Baby, Child & Senior Photographer

Right? Are we allowed to say that yet?! I know temp wise it’s still chilly, but wow – the extra sunlight has just been SO nice hasn’t it! Just to see it streaming through the windows in the afternoons is a great reminder that spring is closer than we think. A quick note, see that [...]

A quick note, see that “Availability” tab up there in the navigation bar (under “Info”, it’ll pop up when you scroll over) – it’s alive & well! Just spent some time getting the spring schedule set – quite a few spots have been filled already (February is booked!) and I’m expecting the few that are left to go rather quickly, so please drop me a line if you see a date you are interested in. I am currently booking 6-8 weeks out.

2010 Seniors! Got some goodies in the works for you too… you *may* see a special just for you ;) in the coming weeks… may ;) … last year I had quite a few inquiries for late summer/fall pics and just couldn’t fit everyone in – so if you know you want an Aug/Sept session, don’t wait! The sooner you book the better. (You too families!) I can’t believe it’s already time for 2010 Seniors!

What would you say? | Fairbanks Photographer

You know when you have a million and one things up in your head, dancing around, trying to get out… but then you go to let them out and you’re all like, whhaa? Yep. Me too. :) I’m just hunkered down over here trying to organize and file and archive and oh, in my spare time, participate in Life. A friend posted a challenge amongst our photographer crowd, “Our Kids 365″, so you can probably guess what that entails. But I signed up, because, being the cobbler’s kids and all, I needed to get on that. But I’m also realistic. So it’s more like “My Kids 100″. Hey, it’s a start. I’m thinking when the day (year) comes when I’m not changing two sets of diapers multiple times a day… then I’ll focus on the ’365′ part.

So in the midst of this little side project, apparently a ‘friend’ of mine has conned me into SPs … self-portraits *slapping hand to forehead*… as in one SP a month (air quotes on ‘friend’ because truly, what kind of ‘friend’ does this to another ‘friend’ -  just plain cruel I tell ya!), birthday planning is a-brewin’ along with behind the scenes tweaking (which I hope to share soon) and scheduling and (hopefully) launching (Fairbanks Seniors! I haven’t forgotten about you… some sweet stuff coming your way soon!!!). Busy much? BUT the cobbler’s kids have at least one pair of shoes… for now…
