I wanted to put up an announcement as I was planning on sharing more of the images from Family Circle this week as well as hosting some fun giveaways. Sadly, my Poppy (my wonderful & much loved grandfather) passed away unexpectedly late Sunday night. I love him & miss him dearly already and will be dedicating this week to spending time with my family & cherishing the amazing memories we had together.

Can I share a bit of exciting news with you? Yes … one of those ‘behind-the-scenes’ things that I have been on pins & needles *waiting* to share. Waiting for what you ask? Well … it was a time sensitive matter, that included a bit of secrecy & some paperwork and a fabulously featured North Pole family, the Taylor family. For those who haven’t heard the fun news yet, the Taylor’s were featured in the December 2009 Issue of Family Circle – out on stands now! On page 46 you will find their “My Hometown” feature, of which I was hired by the photo editor to shoot.
Crazy but true, I ran to the pharmacy Thanksgiving Eve to pick up a prescription for a very sick little girl and was able to see the issue for myself. If you’re out & about while shopping this season, be sure to check it out! (A few iPhone polaroids to share
)

I’ll be back in the next few days to share some of our session together … ‘out-take’ images that didn’t make the final cut. I hope you’ll stop back by! And I hope everyone had a fabulously wonderful Thanksgiving! What a treat to shoot for a national magazine and what an honor to photograph the chosen family!

#15 … Ms. Julie Ranee
and Shannon! (comment #3 via FB status post)
Congrats to you both! Julie, send me an e-mail (or message through the contact page here) and let me know if you want some fun hair accessories or a coffee card
and Shannon I’ll hook you up with the other one.
I pulled the names/numbers for Jen too … but you’ll have to ask her about that
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Just a side-note: the link-backs weren’t included in the draw, so it was a draw out of 28, as I took those out for the time being.
