When Dawn first contacted me, I knew she had a great vibe (sometimes you can just read those things, right) and knew how much she is just totally in love with her little one … but I think what became incredibly clear and wonderful as our session started to unfold is her love for life. Her love for just being here and doing what she wants to do, how she wants to do it, all with that gorgeous smile on her face! She was SO incredibly beautiful in front of the camera, it makes me that much more excited to share more of her maternity session once the baby gets here. But for now … just a sneak peek ;)

Thank you, Dawn! I had such a great time with you. Your spirit is infectious!

(And Dawn knows a million of my other portrait families, siblings & babies ~ I had no idea until our session! It’s definitely a small world! Yay for referrals!)

One, you are so fun!

This big brother had just turned one a few days prior to this shot. I couldn’t resist putting it up on the blog! (I have a whole bunch of 1 year old birthday sessions lined up this year … and a lot of them are boys – I can’t wait!) There is so much about this look that says “one” to me: the wispy hair, the big, bold eyes, the look of wonder & complete interest … one is a fabulous age.
