I feel so blessed to be able to do what I do. As I sit here in the glow of Christmas lights, in the anticipation of the new year, I realize even more how lucky I am to have a newborn as my very last session of the year. It seems to round things out. To complete the year and remind us of the beauty of new … new life, new year, a new blessing. The third boy to a beautiful mama, Lincoln isn’t just another boy, he is the new baby boy in their new family of five. And he is taking it all in stride, awake or asleep, adjusting to his new world. I will tell you, without a doubt, his mama is the apple of his eye. I loved how he would just watch her as she talked to him. Just soaking in every word. And speaking of every word… another perk of my job, getting to talk mama talk with other mamas! It’s so nice to be able to sit and chat about life and children and babies and diapers and toddlers that don’t sleep (yes, you read that right – some of you are very lucky! we both know toddlers that still don’t sleep well 
) … the list is endless! Alyssa, I had a wonderful time getting to know you and Lincoln and meeting your family. Thank you for sharing him and letting me capture these early days for you. He is truly a sweetheart, and the perfect addition to your family. Merry Christmas… and a peaceful, love-filled new year…
