Couldn’t resist sharing that with you guys! Does anyone else around here know that song by heart?! Naturally, I’ve been meaning to share these images for a while now. Couldn’t resist sharing that with you guys! Does anyone else around here know that song by heart?! :D

Naturally, I’ve been meaning to share these images for a while now. But first we had to tackle the issue of publishing dates. Yes, our shoot took place in September. Yes, the publish date wasn’t until December. So of course … we were in waiting mode. Then, I finally got to share the big news when the issue hit the stands! Imagine my excitement standing in line at the pharmacy (you know, as excited as you can be standing in line filling a Rx for your kid) & rushing over to the magazines at the check-out counter to see the lovely Taylor family & all our hard work published on the pages of Family Circle’s December ’09 issue. I still remember our chats about the memorial gardens, city hall, the peace pole that their family had a huge hand in … their love of North Pole & lifetime commitment to living there, their interests in hunting, fishing, camping … and yes, we even talked about their plans to camp this winter at -50F below. (And with this cold snap, those dreams may have become a reality! Did you guys do it?!?)

So here we are … some of the out-takes from our December 09 Family Circle shoot. I’m so lucky to work with the families I meet … and they are certainly no exception! Thank you guys, once again, for a lovely day. And many congrats for being crowned King & Queen Regents for the City of North Pole this year! It’s going to be an amazing year for your family!

Had to borrow this idea from my rock star photographer-mama friend Michelle (that I got to chill with in Cali – she’s one of those friends who brings it and makes you feel like a million bucks, just for hanging out for the day :) ). Love having this little app around. Brings me back to my love for the instant camera back in the old days.

This is life. Every last Key Lime Pie bite of it. All on a not-so-wordless Wednesday.
