Here are some fun things I’ve done:
*interned at an in-house photo studio of a downtown Chicago advertising agency, complete with riding the train & walking near Oprah’s studio
*had my work published in Family Circle magazine (the same one that you see on stands in the grocery store)
*had my work featured by professional photo labs, including in a booth at this year’s Imaging USA
*getting around in the bloggy world (like Momtog)
Oh & did I mention I’m raising four kids under six? That too.
Never a dull moment. But that’s all part of the master plan. It helps me in some small way know what to look for when photographing your own kids. I’m like a kid wrangler, with a camera.

Only pure bliss when it comes to delivering these. {3 Fine Art Canvas pieces}
I got to deliver 3 of them recently.
And while a ‘picture of a picture’ just isn’t the same … it’s still most definitely a huge slice of Happiness. HUGE.{Gotta get her mom to send me a snapshot of all of the goodies hanging up in the house. I know she is loving the chance to get some “spring decorating” going. Finally, newborn images of all 3 of her babies will be up, together, as a family.}

Documenting the Day (or week or month) with your phone is such a simple, yet effective way to capture moments. For this month’s Simply Sunday I wanted to challenge myself (& hopefully you too) to really take the “simply” part to heart. While my professional camera & gear is an extension of me at times, it is also incredibly convenient & fun (and quick) to have my camera phone ready to document the day. I love the challenge of not using anything but my apps & a rinky-dink camera phone to push creative boundaries.
I also love documenting the moments & the details that help us remember life.
For those who aren’t local, this is Chena Hot Springs. If you ever come to visit, you have to go. And if you are here & haven’t been, make plans for a day trip or even the weekend – it’s so worth it!
