We have another crawler in the house! And by another, I mean, yes, two crawlers, one of those being a pull-up, semi-cruiser. (Ack! Will he be walking soon???!?!)

Life as we know it has just changed!

(Newsflash to us: they crawl in the exact same way! So is it a twin-thing or an ‘I’ve been watching you crawl for weeks now & this is how you do it, so this is how it must be done‘ thing? Not sure we’ll ever know. But it’s funny to watch them crawl side-by-side.)

For a little Biz Factor:

3 Classes are going on – Photo 101/Basics Course, e-course: Photo & Light and the Teen Photo Workshop (only a few seats left!). If you are interested in any of these classes, you can sign up here.

A minimum number of students are needed for each class, but will quickly be capped at a certain number for that particular class/workshop. Registration will close May 17th or sooner (the classes are first come, first serve, so if you are interested, don’t wait). The class announcement is already drawing in registrations. Registration fees are non-refundable. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments & I will come back & answer them for everyone.

Summer Teen Workshop

This summer’s Teen Photo Workshop is happening in June!

Have your teen join us June 4-8th for an awesome photography workshop just for teens! We will learn how to take better photos, focusing on the importance of light, iso, aperture & shutter speed, while discussing what it means to be a photographer in the digital age.

We will learn & apply our findings through assignments and creative experiments, but most importantly, we will have fun!

Click here to sign up! Just a couple of seats left!
Cousins, siblings & friends are all welcome – it’s time for photo fun!

Photo e-course (with shoot-shop for locals): Light & Style

In this course learn how to

  • find good light
  • Tips for shooting better back-lit photos
  • discuss finding your style & applying that to your work

This 3 week e-course is in ‘beta’ which means those who choose to participate are receiving it at the discounted beta introduction price. It also means there will be ample room for feedback & adjustments as we go through the course.

This is perfect for those already shooting in manual. This is also perfect for those who see the image to the right & think, “I want to do that.”

Let’s make it happen! Click here to register.

The Photo Class for those who want to know more!

May 23rd, 2-6pm. The class everyone has been begging for! Learn about your camera. Learn 10 Tips for taking better photos. And at the end of it all, let’s get out & photograph some kids for practice!

There are two options:

  1. Take the Talk for $175
  2. Include the Shoot-shop (that’s where we practice with me right by your side) for $75

This class is perfect for those who are new(er) to photography, still learning the basics, trying to remember stuff from high school, unsure what to do with this nice, fancy new camera they haveor just plain want to take better pictures of their kids!

A note from a recent participant:
**Hey Chelsey,

Just want to tell you thank you again for the wonderful workshop on Sunday! I know it took a lot of time to put together for us, I really appreciate it and had a great time learning from you. I’m excited for our upcoming vacation now. Hopefully more time to practice while away from home and housework. :0)

Thank you thank you!
Amanda E.**

If you have a photo friend, please pass this along!

Can’t wait to have you in class!

Net Newsflash! Tara! & a photo class workshop shout-out.

Hey … Tara’s at my beach.  Hmmmm … it does appear she has more bubbles. And red toes. I didn’t have either. Soooooo unfair. Oh wait. Her beach was in SB, mine, LA. (That must be the difference. ) Love how a snapshot in time really does bring you back to a moment remembered. As [...]

Hey … Tara’s at my beach.

Hmmmm … it does appear she has more bubbles.

And red toes.

I didn’t have either.

Soooooo unfair.

Oh wait.

Her beach was in SB, mine, LA. (That must be the difference. ;) )

Love how a snapshot in time really does bring you back to a moment remembered.

As soon as I saw Tara’s shot, I was instantly transported.

It was a good trip. It was a hard trip. One filled with memories. One filled with emotions. To keep forever.

Hard to believe almost four months have passed since then.
