This is the part where I tell you I’ve studied photography in the classroom & out in the real world. Where I talk about working as a second shooter & interning at the in-house photo studio of a downtown Chicago advertising agency. This is where you’d learn that I was published in a national magazine & got to show off a cute little family of five from North Pole, Alaska. This is where you could read all of that & so much more.

 

But what really defines me is the every day. Raising four kids (under five, almost six), including a set of twins, just for good measure. This is where I share my work, my thoughts, my inspiration, my clients & their kids. This is where I hope you get a glimpse into my world, cause I’m ready to rock yours.

FAQ

 

  • I’m ready to book a session with you, how far in advance should I do that?

I am typically booked 8 weeks in advance & often-times further out than that during the busy season (summer & fall). Newborns should be booked well in advance of their due date (contacting me when you are 5-6 months pregnant is usually good). Quite a few of my moms will contact me as soon as they see that positive line – that’s great too! If you are looking to book a child or family session, 8-12 weeks is a good time frame. So April sessions should be scheduled in Jan/Feb & September sessions by June (for example).

  • What is your background in photography?

I feel very fortunate in that I have a fairly well-rounded background when it comes to my field. I have studied both in the classroom (physical & on-line) and ‘in real life’ by working with other photographers as well as interning with an in-house photo studio for an advertising agency in Chicago. I also pursue continuing education on my own, much like a few other fields (education, medicine, etc.).

I have a local baby display at Interior Women’s Health, in addition to being published in a national magazine, where I was hired by the photo editor to photograph a North Pole family of five for a particular feature. My greatest accomplishment is raising four kids under six on a daily basis. That is definitely the toughest job I’ve ever had.

  • What organizations are you a part of?

I am a member of PPA & NAPCP.
