Applause
Listen. Can you hear the laughter in that photograph? Well that’s because we genuinely had a great time as Chelsey spent an evening with us. I don’t have “posed” pictures on my walls I have artwork, it just so happens that the subjects are my family.

I had never had a professional photo session before this, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I thought was going to be an hour or two of taking pictures was something much more enjoyable than that! Chelsey’s bubbly energy and infectious laugh made the whole thing so much fun. And the experience only got better as the images she captured were revealed to us. We are completely stunned and impressed at what she was able to create. As corny as it sounds, this has been a life-changing experience for our family and my hope is we never have to go back to ‘canned’ department store portraits again!

MachC Photography provides customer service far beyond the “normal”. The information she gathers prior to each session is critical to the success of each photograph taken~and it shows through her work. The sessions always go smoothly with no pressure for the “perfect” shot. Each person’s personality is captured whether in group photos or individual~truly amazing! As a family of six it absolutley amazed me that MachC was able to capture us all at our “best”. Our six year old has Autism and I was extremely nervous about our first family session. The on location shoot, Chelsey’s relaxed nature and skills, and of course our beautiful daughter made our family session amazing while capturing her beauty. The delivery of your photos and gifts is a day you look forward too!

I just wanted to thank you again for the gorgeous canvas of Jade and I. Wade loves it and insisted that it should go in the center of the living area. When we opened it Slater said, “Wow, MOM! SISTER!” We love you and the work that you do, thanks for the opportunity to win such a fantastic picture. Looking forward to the session in March. The little one can sit up for short amounts of time on her own and can roll, but on her stomach she wiggles a lot – no crawling yet.
Thanks again,
Wade, Robyn, Slater and Jade

Chelsey is the best photographer I have had the pleasure of working with in Fairbanks. She managed to capture aspects of my family’s personalities in a way I have never seen. She comes to your house where you (and your children) are most comfortable, and she works with whoever is ready to “play” at that moment. My youngest daughter (2, at the time) was ready right away, and we got all of her best shots early on. My older daughter (5, at the time) took about 15 minutes to warm up, so the timing was perfect. Chelsey also worked with the weather. It started getting cooler and the wind started blowing, so we brought out a favorite blanket and wrapped up the whole family. We were all laughing the whole time!
One aspect of the photo shoot I really liked was Chelsey’s involvement even prior to the day of pictures. She would send information giving us ideas and asked me to think about what my children really love, so we could capture them enjoying a few of their favorite things (Think “Sound of Music“, literally
)
Finally, the slide show Chelsey put together as part of the gallery was amazing. And I say that with emphasis! When we watched it, I cried, my 5-year old daughter cried, and my mom cried! In fact, the song she chose to accompany the pictures was an old Natalie Merchant song that my husband had in his CD collection. My older daughter asked her daddy to play the song so we could all dance to it. We actually created a beautiful memory together simply by playing our now “special family” song and dancing in the backyard.
Overall, the session was enjoyable and fun. Very unlike many other photography sessions in which we have to bribe our children to smile in an artificial environment. No stress involved in this one! In fact, in our attempt to preserve some beautiful memories on film, we actually made new ones. I couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you Chelsey!
